Where is the Class?
Classes are located at the St. James at Sag Bridge Campus, and will be taking place on the first building on your right when entering the campus.
What should i wear to class?
- All dancing will be done in socks
- we are grateful to have St. James at Sag Bridge host us, and they have requested that no shoes be worn during dancing as to preserve the wooden floors.
- We recommend wearing comfortable clothing that allows for ease of movement, such as pants, leggings or shorts of an appropriate length. Skirts, if worn, should be of a modest length and allow for unrestricted movement.
- Shirts should be modest and provide adequate coverage are recommended.
What age groups do you cater to?
We are currently only offering classes tailored towards young adults (18 – 30’s). However as the program grows and if we find a demand for different age groups we would be more than happy to expand the program!
Feel free to contact us in regards to expanding the program to different age groups.
Do I need to bring my own dance partner?
No, all the leads and follows in the class will be rotating in a manner where everyone will have the opportunity to dance with everyone else in the class.
What types of dance styles do you offer?
We offer a wide variety of dance styles including Bachata, Cumbia, Country Line Dancing, Country Swing and more. Our diverse range of classes caters to dancers of all interests.

Catholic Dance Club is essential because it infuses our community with vitality and spirit. When we dance, we’re not just moving; we’re connecting and spreading the joy of our faith. With every step, we’re inviting others to join in our celebration and experience the rhythm of God’s love. It’s about creating a vibrant atmosphere where we can live out our Catholic faith, fostering a sense of belonging and unity that extends beyond the dance floor. In essence, a Catholic Dance Club takes us beyond the confines of our parish and out into the world where we may become vessels for evangelization and spreading the joy of the Gospel.
Do you offer classes for beginners?
Absolutely! We have classes specifically designed for beginners in various dance styles. Our instructors are experienced in working with students who are new to dance and will help you feel comfortable and confident as you start your dance journey.
Do you have a patron saint?
Yes St. Teresa of Avila was know to have strong inclinations for dancing, she was known for her joyous dancing on feast days. She would play a tambourine for her Carmelite sisters to partake in the celebration through dance. St. Teresa, recognized the importance of joy in religious practice, understanding that a religion devoid of joy is inherently false.
What is the class format?
We will begin all classes with with prayer, followed by a brief warm up where we will do easy to follow footwork and then progress to individual and partner-work.
Do you offer performance opportunities for students?
At the moment we don’t currently have performance opportunities, but as the program grows we hope to be able to offer them in the near future!
Do you offer private lessons?
Yes, we offer private lessons for students who prefer one-on-one instruction or have specific goals they would like to focus on. Private lessons are available for all ages and skill levels, and can be scheduled at a time that is convenient for you.
